I chose this assignment because it signifies a huge leap forward in terms of what I can do. I’m a big fan of Youtube, and I look for new content daily. I took a lot away from this assignment. I learned how to use video recording software, and well as, how to upload a video to Youtube. While that may not sound like much to the casual observer, knowing how to use Youtube is a skill that can come in handy. A Youtube video can be a great way to show the public your product.
Daily Create: Mission Statement
This assignment deserves a place in my portfolio because it shows observers what I have learned in the past two semesters. These include learning how to build, and solder circuits, as well as build little robots. My understanding of social media has come a long way in this class and the Mission Statement assignment is a great example of this. While the assignment itself shows an understanding of social media, the content shows my willingness to work toward a goal. Everything pictured in that assignment is something that took time, and a lot of effort, to build or acquire.

Daily Create: CARP
This was an assignment I had a lot of fun on (once I got the site working). This assignment demonstrates an understanding of CARP principles and the ability to make a flyer. The CARP principles will come in handy whenever I need to make a presentation. Use of the principles make for a presentation that is comfortable to watch and easy to remember. This makes the audience much more likely to retain the information.
On The Town: Rhetorical Analysis
I had really surprised myself with this assignment. I didn’t think there would be so much to say about a simple photo. The chosen photo was an advertisement that says a little, and means a lot more. I chose this assignment because it demonstrates an understanding of rhetorical analysis and an understanding of how much thought and effort goes into an advertisement. The product, the colors, the background, and the placement of the logo were not chosen by accident. Every detail was made to make the viewer comfortable and to present the company in a strong light. The ability to analyze advertisements can come in handy when dealing with the competition or making one’s own advertisements.
